Wordless Wednesday: Happy Thanksgiving

I took these photos at Litszinger Road Ecology Center (an Urban Nature Reserve) spring 2006.

Two Tom Turkeys (males) facing off.

Two Tom Turkeys trying to impress a Hen Turkey (female).
Can you see her? She's much smaller and to the right of the males.

The poor guys: all fluffed out and no place to go. The hen looks rather disinterested (so far). These sure are classic looking turkeys, though. Happy Thanksgiving.

P.S. Today I am serving a classic Khmer dish at FoodTrips.

Wonderful! I've enver actually ever seen a turkey in anything like its natural habitat. Happy WW

I love how thematic your photos are today. Can you tell how unimpressed the female turkey is with the two "toms"?!! Great shots!

I think they are conspiring to hide after watching the Sarah P. YouTube interview with the turkey killer working in the background!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
