Wordless Wednesdays: Hairy is Scary

This is Poison Ivy.
In the winter time, the leaves have died, but the remaining vine is alive and can still cause allergic reactions. Remember that Hairy is Scary. Any plant or vine that looks hairy will very likely cause an allergic rash. Don't touch it.

  6. I wouldn't have recognized it without the leaves. Thanks for the tip! I don't usually have much of a reaction to poison ivy, but I'd rather not put my immunity to the test!

  12. For some reason, it never occurred to me that Poison Ivy would lose its leaves in the winter. I'm so glad I can recognize it now. I would hate to have an unwitting encounter with it.

  13. I've actually been looking for poison ivy, so I can identify it. I probably have seen some plenty of times, but I'm not good at knowing what I'm looking at. Your short description will help.
