I love the title! My only real experience with Chicago is the airport, and even that was during the summer. But I did spend a winter about 15 miles from Champaign-Urbana and it's not an experience I care about repeating.
What a great blog you have! Science, bugs, raptors, you've got everything a garden nut like me enjoys. I've added your blog to those I follow so I won't miss a post. ~Aerie-el
I meant to do this when it snowed this weekend and didn't. I am so glad YO did. The pictures are lovely. This is my first visit to your blog, but I am bookmarking it and will be back, it looks fascinating.
Beautiful photos, they resonate with the feel of a crisp winter Wednesday. Your weather has been much more intense than ours here in the northeast but then your photos also reflect a lot more natural beauty. Thanks for posting these.
The only time I was in Chicago, it was January (for the SICB conference) and I loved it. I had to buy all sorts of extra winter clothes that I don't really need here in NC, but it was worth it.
So nice to meet you in person! I heard only the best about your session. Perhaps next time you can come and do a science-ey stand-up comic routine ;-)
Such lovely, serene pictures! When you live in a Chicago winter, it can be hard to remember that it's not all slush and misery--it's beautiful, too. Thanks for celebrating the humble urban evergreen!
