Can you guess what this is?
Kind of looks like fireworks. Very pretty, I think.

It's Honeysuckle, the viney kind that grows on fences. This is what it looks like in the winter when the flowers die and I assume those are the exposed seeds.
Happy New Year!
I would have never guess right on what was that.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2009!!! :)
Oh wow. I would have never guessed it was honeysuckle. I was thinking it looked like Star Anise. I know nothing about how Star Anise grows, though. Pretty pictures. Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteYou had me fooled. I thought it was a salad covered in lots of sprouts. On the other hand, I wonder if Honeysuckle is an edible plant?
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. I love Honeysuckle. Happy WW and a happy New Year
ReplyDeleteMy husband loves to zoom in on the ordinary as well then make me guess what it is he took a picture of. Nice macro on the seeds. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteWell, I guessed it was a plant! I love honeysuckle.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Happy WW & New Year! I thought it was 'worms' of some sort (smile).
ReplyDeleteI invite your blog readers to view my Happy New Year wish! In case it is not obvious ... my favorite animal is the rhino...
peace, Villager
I was going to guess some sort of air plant...at least I was in the right ball park!
ReplyDeleteHoneysuckle - duh - I feel stuupid. Pretty and frilly. :) Hope you guys had a safe celebration of the New Year. :)
ReplyDeleteHoneysuckle.... has berries for fruits. This is a series of photos of the fruits (yes, dry fruits!) of your local _Clematis_ species.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, from a fellow (botanical) Urban Adventurer! :)
I'd gotten as far as vegetation of some sort, but not the specific kind. If you like honeysuckle, you should visit down here. It's everywhere!
